IQNA – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has condemned an AI-generated video shared by former US President Donald Trump, which presents his vision for the future of the Gaza Strip.

Rights Group Slams Trump’s AI-Generated Video Depicting 'fantasy' Gaza

The video, which includes depictions of golden statues of Trump, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and billionaire Elon Musk, has drawn criticism for its fantastical portrayal of the region.

The 33-second clip, posted by Trump on his Truth Social platform, begins with a scene of Gaza in ruins, accompanied by the text “Gaza 2025” in green, followed by the phrase “What’s next?” in red, white, and blue.

It then transitions to a futuristic vision of Gaza, featuring skyscrapers, and luxury cars. The video also shows Musk celebrating under falling money and Trump and Netanyahu drinking shirtless on a beach.

CAIR described the video as a “fantasy” and urged Trump to focus on realistic efforts toward peace. “If President Trump is serious about pursuing peace, he should stop posting AI fantasies of a Gaza filled with idols of himself and start pursuing the establishment of a free and independent Palestinian state, including Gaza,” the organization said in a statement.

CAIR also reiterated its opposition to any form of US occupation of Gaza.

The video has sparked online debate over its tone and implications, particularly given the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where 15 months of Israeli attacks have killed more than 48,000 Palestinians since October 2023, destroying large swaths of the Palestinian territory.

Trump has repeatedly announced his intention to  “buying and owning Gaza”, while calling for the relocation of the people of Gaza to countries like Jordan and Egypt.
